Flavourzy!!! Veg- Tofu, Mushrooms Bites

Tofu, or bean curd, is a popular food derived from soya. Tofu is made from soybean curds. It is naturally gluten-free and low in calories. It contains no cholesterol and is an excellent source of iron and calcium. It has excellent source of protein, amino acids, iron, calcium and the minerals manganese, selenium and phosphorous. In addition, tofu is a good source of copper, zinc and vitamin B1, especially for vegans and vegetarians. Consuming tofu regularly helps lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and reduces symptoms associated with menopause. It reduces levels of LDL "bad" cholesterol, although it does not seem to increase HDL or "good" cholesterol levels.

White button mushrooms contain varying degrees of protein and fibre. When they are grown, whether indoor or outdoor, they are exposed to UV light which increases their concentration of vitamin D. They also contain B vitamins as well as a powerful antioxidant. When mushroom is cooked, it significantly increased their antioxidant activity, that can help to lower cholesterol, particularly in overweight adults. It helps to support the immune system and prevent damage to cells and tissues. This in turn then helps protect the heart by maintaining healthy blood pressure and circulation.
